top. While we updated the Pc a whole new computer started and all my files
old documents pictures got all deleted and i'm not sure how to retrieve them
this is the second time it happened while we updat Microsoft Windows. I would
just like to know how to get them back as soon as possible even the documents
i had on Microsoft word processor because i have an exam to work on! :(
Please Help.

Please explain what "While we updated the Pc a whole new computer started"
means...

Please be as detailed as possible.

If you happened to have meant that things looked different when you logged
in - check the C:\Documents and Settings\ directory for a sub-directory by
your username - if more than one - come back and list the ones you see.

The updates cannot 'erase' your computer... Could have exposed a broken
profile, though...

Check your C:\Documwents and Settings\ directory as I asked you to do
before. ;-)

Please explain exactly what you mean by "updated windows". Were you using the
Windows Update web site to install updates, or were you using a Windows install
CD to upgrade to a new version of Windows?

Harry.
