I am working on a XP computer using Office 2003. We use a web site so that we
can share a public drive. One person has office 2007 and he others have 2003.
When I checked for updates on Microsoft it came back with updates for Office
2003 and 2007 even though 2007 is not installed on my computer. Does anyone
have an explanation why 2007 updates would appear?

Any viewers or Office 2007 components *at all* installed?

I did install the pack.

Would not have guessed that updates would take that as I have the full
programs.

Thanks

You're mowst welcome, Sarah. At least now you know why updates for O2K7
are being offered.

They didn't.

Likely the updates you are getting include the Compatibility Pack as
something they need to patch. You'd have to read the "Applies to" section
of each of the KB articles for each of the patches you are getting as
necessary to install. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/###### <-- subbing
in the appropriate six (6) numbers.)
