When I open windows update, he says than I have one important update
available. When I click on this message to see what update is available and
to check the case to say that I want to install the update, I cannot because
there's no update displayed, it's like if the update was invisible. The
problem is that i can't install theses udates because i can't see what is
this update and i can't check the case to say that i would install the
update. Thank you in advance for your help.

(Please ignore that last post, i cannot edit or delete it as it would seem)

I wanted to report i have experienced the same behaviour, also using vista
32 (1pc with business edition and one with home premium).

Ever since the windows update agent updated i had 2 unvisible updates so far.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved at microsoft for
developing it and for giving me the opportunity to beta test this!

Something happened that made my home premium updater display everything as it
should. Maybe an update got distributed which fixed it? I wouldn't know since
I could not see what i was installing.

As for my Vista Business version the bug remains unfixed even though it has
installed the most recent updates and fixes.

The problem returned after a while. Definately a serious bug. Is there
anything I can do about it besides reporting it here?

Is it possible to uninstall the new windows update system?

Just chiming in - I see the exact same problem as others in this thread
(Windows 7 Pro x64). I see the number of updates, and things are installed if
I click OK, but the list is empty. I am basically installing stuff on good
faith now.
For a while the problem went away and I thought there had been a fix (which
I couldn't see beforehand, of course), but now the same behaviour is back.
This needs to be fixed.

To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you quote all of the previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup...especially when you hijack
someone else's 4-plus month old thread.

OK, guys here is the solution that worked for me.

First you have to manually stop Windows Update (WUAUSERV) service. To
do it use command prompt and type "net stop wuauserv" (w/o quotation
marks, of course). Then re-register the driver by typing "regsvr32
wups2.dll". Finally restart Windows Update service by typing "net start
wuauserv".

Voila.

For most customers it is not clear that there is an underlying USENET
involved in which older posts are not visible later on. I treated it as a
webforum because on microsoft.com it looks and behaves like a webforum. I'm
*not* going to apologize!

Your post was kind of insulting, next time please just ignore if you can't
contribute

I expect bug reports to be appreciated. I guess the customer is just another
source of disturbance to you ..

Oh and here's your quote, you can keep it:

Next time don't hijack a four month old post.
