Actually - the recommendation is if it does not show up on your Automatic
Updates - there is a reason and you likely should not force the installation
of the service pack without first figuring out why it is not being offered
to you automatically.
In fact - there is an entire article on it (Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
that is.)
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows
Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates
