Windows yellow shield icon

A yellow shield icon appears in the taskbar.
It cannot be opened.
Rollover text says updates are being loaded.
When finished, I review the update history, and the "updates" that were just
loaded do not appear in the history list.

Please send an assessment and fix for this problem.

Check the WindowsUpdate.log located in the WINDOWS directory to see if
the update are being regulated.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the log for the most recent entries
and see if entries such as these are present
