Thanasis,

Download from the link on this page and save it to disk :

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=814078

Close Internet Explorer . Either temporarily disable your antivirus
software and any script blocking component of it OR, boot to Safe
Mode and install the patch from there. If you chose to temp disable
the AV, reenable it after the installation and required rebooting is
finished.

Hi,

This error may occur if Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
service is not registered properly

Please try the following:

If KB842773 is not already installed (check in ARP), please download
and install KB842773 package from

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6bb6545c-41f2-4c58-aeac-783919ccfacf&displaylang=en

Or

1. Register qmgr.dll
A. Click Start.
B. Choose Run.
C. In the Run box, type regsvr32 qmgr.dll.
D. Click OK.
2. Register qmgrprxy.dll
A. Click Start.
B. Choose Run.
C. In the Run box, type regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll.
D. Click OK.

Thank you

Eric

Hi, Eric.

I have the same problem. However, I have already register the .dll
files properly, and still get the same error.

In addition, I even cannot start BITS service after a successful
reinstallation of BITS. I get:

The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service terminated with
service-specific error 2147942405 (0x80070005).

Do you have any idea about this problem? Thanks.
