error code [Error number: 0x80072EEF] in MS/Windows updates

I keep getting this code on one of my Windows Server 2003 boxes when trying
to run either Microsoft or Windows Updates. The machine is running SQL server
2000 (patched to Service Pack 4) Sharepoint services (SP2) and Project Server
2003. There is no firewall sorftware running, it connects to the internet
through a Pix firewall (the default gateway for the entire LAN). No other
machines on the LAN are having this issue. I have a WSUS server managing
updates on the LAN, although again, no other machines are having any issues
with MS or Windows updates. Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

BITS is enabled and running on the box.

Had the same problem. Solved it by opening a command prompt (I was NOT
using a proxy server to begin with):

proxycfg -d
net stop wuauserv
net start wuauserv

Thanks, this one works but you might have to add all the Microsoft windows
updates urls to your trusted sites prior running these steps.
