I have an NT 4 server with a 2 gig ide drive that's dying. I installed
a second ide drive (4gig) and created a mirror between the two. After
they completed their synchronization I broke the mirror and downed the
server. I then disconnected the bad drive and rebooted. Unfortunately
the system won't boot. If I use a boot disk the system boots fine. The
boot.ini on the floppy and on the new drive are identical. I also
checked disk administrator and the new drive is marked as active. Does
anyone have any ideas on how to make the new drive bootable?

Thanks in advance for any and all help
Steve

You might try booting off the CD, doing a repair mode, and just repairing
the boot sector.
