Hide a NT 4.0 trusted domain name . . .

Our domain COMPANYDOMAIN has a two-way trust with our
PERSONNEL domain. For security reasons we would like
to 'hide' the PERSONNEL domain. Is there a way to hide
the PERSONNEL domain so it will not show up on the list
of available domains for user workstations upon login?

No. Trusted domains will always show up in the dropdown.
