WMP 10 won't install - error 0x800703e3

working. I told the log to update the files so the problem wouldn't
replacing newer with older and all that, still get same error of "WMP
installation failed. Download file from windows website again?" sign.
I checked out a topic that came up with this and ran the files that
zach asked about -- they all ran perfectly. So I'm at a complete loss
and very close to taking computer back into the shop to determine if
this is a symptom of my recent slew of problems causing me to reformat
3 times in the last two months (and yes, I've done a zero fill, and
everything checks out clean now).

In the small box that opens up type in the following:
regsvr32 msdxm.ocx
Now hit OK and repeat typing in:
regsvr32 dxmasf.dll
Now hit OK.
If Internet Explorer STILL crashes go to the Start Menu and select Run, then
type:
regsvr32 wmp.dll
Now hit OK and repeat typing in:
regsvr32 wmpdxm.dll
Try doin gthe above then, go and clear out your setuplog, then re do the
install and check the log again.

should be associated with your problem, alot of ppl who do the Automatic
updates, get this error code, so this might be what is preventing you from
installing, so after trying the above steps also try this:

from a command prompt (start/run/cmd.exe) type this lines, hitting enter
at the end of each line.

i had the same prob for 3months, and just got it to install, its a long and
tedious process of reading log files, im not a very smart guy, but im at
least some what technical with computers or so i thought lol.
