DS filter in WME on Vista causes crash of the program

Hi,

I'm supposed to develop a filter, that will work in WME. However, when
I run compiled DS transform filter example EZRGB24 without any change
to the code ( example from Microsoft
SDK v6.1, compiled with VS2008 express on Win XP Professional – filter
runs on that type of system fine) on 32b Windows Vista Home Premium,
the WME will crash every time I apply changes made in filter
properties. I tried hotfix KB929182 for WME ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929182/en-us
) but it didn't help either.

Is there any way to make it work? (I know that WME is quite old and
users should move to Expression Media, but my customer still wants to
use WME.)
