Windows Media Player Minimise to Taskbar to show mini player doesn't work

Hey Everyone:

I did a fresh install of Windows XP Pro last night, installed all the
hotfixes/critical updates etc including WMP 9. I've right clicked on the
task bar and chosen the Windows Media Player tool bar, so when I minimise
WMP it appears as the little mini player. However, when I press the minimise
button for WMP I just get the normal button to maximize it again.

Does anyone know why it won't do what it used to before a reinstall?

Hi Rich,

WMP9 is what broke the minimize to taskbar behavior for thousands of users.
