Okay, I used WMP 10 to delete the albums (and all of the WMA files) for the
CDs I ripped. I made sure that all of the WMA files were deleted. I then
ripped one of the CDs again using the MP3 format and this time when I used
the Find Album Info option, the MP3 files were NOT converted to WMA. Now, I
can't reproduce the problem and I didn't change any of the settings. Go
figure! Like I said, probably one of those "features" built into WMP 10.

Unless I update this post, please do not reply since I won't be checking up
on it.

WMP doesn't do that (although iTunes does a WMA->AAC conversion). Are
you sure they are WMA files?

Updating the original post would have been more appropriate. And like I
said before, it probably didn't happen as you described it.
