Can't delete changed artist name in Med Library

I meticulously changed the artist names in my Media Library (using WMP 7.1 on
2000 Professional) to reflect the true names, ie. "Beck" instead of "{Beck}".
The new artist names are reflected in the All Audio list, but the old ({Beck})
names show up in the list of media sorted By Artist.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Seems like a big bug, and an annoying one
at that. I know these names come from the MP3 file ID3 tags, and I could change
all of them, but I'd prefer to do this instead.
Please email comments as I may not be able to follow the newsgroup more than
sporadically.

WMP7 doesn't have ID3 write-out, so changing that MP3 data within WMP7 will
no lasting effect. You'd need to use a different editor to change that
data.
