I would like to completely uninstall WMP in Jaguar so that
later on I can do a fresh install. I tried clicking the
link on the microsoft website, but it doesn't do anything.
Merely moving the application to the trash and emptying it
didn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks

Remove the WMP application from /Applications
Remove the plug-in from /Library/Internet Plug-ins
delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.mediaplayer.plist
(~/ stands for your user fodler).

You might have to do command-i on some of these files to change the
owner to yourslef before you can actually move/delete them,

That's probably the best way.

I use Windows Media Player, yet I don't seem to have that particular file on
my system. The only Windows Media-related files I see in my user's
Preferences folder are:
Windows Media Prefs
Windows Media Favorites

To do a complete uninstall, I'd recommend you delete both.
