Audio Loss while encoding

I am capturing video with windows media audio 9.2 codec with bit rate 48 kb/s
48 k hz . Audio is lost but still video recording after some time . i plug
unplug the audio cables Audio is shown in the bar but not in the file . I
restated the encoding process then audio gains again . why it is hapenning
