Running RC now, is album art ever going to be part of the visualizations in
mini player?

It was a little disconcerting for the "this is the first time media library
has been used" message to come up but instead of immediately going to the F3
search button I watched as the player started adding all of my music and
playlists on its own, it even found some album art that I hadn't had before.

The "add pictures" tab in the tag editor is a lot better, it doesn't crash
now when trying to redo album art.

Is the font size controllable? In the album art pane the song title gets cut
off after 16 characters or so when the pane is sized to a 200 by 200
picture.

The "volume leveling applied" message is overlapping the end of the volume
leveling control (screen resolution 1600 x 1200 with 115% DPI)

Overall, though, good job on WMP RC; too bad there is too much Real
proprietary format stuff on the net to get rid of Real products
altogether...

it will come up as album art ?
is it possible to change that filename to say cover.jpg (which all of mine
are named)?

Correct. :-)

I use high quality scans of my CD covers rather than those provided by AMG
when/if it finds an album. I scan at 200dpi and then in Paint Shop Pro scale
it down to 300x300 pixels, add a slight sharpening and they look superb in
WMP. Each album folder has it's own artwork when viewed in thumbnail mode as
a bonus.

No it must be "folder.jpeg" or it wont work.

Q. What is the most annoying thing on Usenet?

That would be nice.

Glad to see that adding your own "Folder.jpg" works as it should now too.

While there's no direct way (that I can find) in WMP9 to change the font, it
uses the same font and size as that set for icons. change it to something
different and/or smaller and see the effect in WMP9. You might also try
knocking down the size a few percent from 115% to say 112% that might just
be enough.

Real should've been strangled at birth. :-) Horrible format.

It's even possibel to make animated gifs of your cd,
using inside foto's and backsides of the cover. Put that
in the folder go to folder properties and chose the
animatee gif as the folder default picture. This wil be
shown as the album art in wmp. Instead of a static
pictures you will can have some kind of slide show or
even quick moving pictures.

WOW just tried it and it works, cool tip thanks for that one, I have a few
ideas of other uses for this as well. Though I can't help thinking that
maybe things like CD booklet and other related artwork should really go in
the Tag Info in the Info Centre.
