Can someone explain to me why there are new folders being made from time to
time under recovered messages and why I cant delete the folder from windows
mail? I right click and select delete but nothing happens...
The folders under recovered messages are all empty and it is annoying!

I would like to know more about all this since this is new (outlook express
did not have this thing)

THANKS

-Fred

This was answered in another newsgroup.

If you must post identical messages in more than one newsgroup please
crosspost, i.e. please place all of the newsgroups in the Newsgroup field of
one message, separated by commas. That way when someone reads the message
in one newsgroup it will be marked as read in all of them. In addition, an
answer posted in one newsgroup will generally show up in all of them.

This is usually not necessary since most of those who answer posts read
more than one newsgroup.

I don't know, but you may need to check if your computer is set to
around a day and a half off the correct date and time. This sometimes
causes assorted problems.

That often happens when the computer was shut down or
rebooted unexpectedly, causing the database to lose track
of messages, which then have to be re-indexed and put into
the recovered messages folder. Anything that corrupts the
database can result in 'recovered' messages.

Boy was this helpful. NOT!!! The question query shows up in this string
and will continue to do so so why not post where the answer can be found and
not a smug condescending reply.
