ok, i am just asking here. now if i have been emailing people in my
address book for the past 9 years. and the address have never been
changed and never messed with how can it just happen all of a sudden? i
remove the so called blank space you see, but in the address there is a
> that goes there. i went into the properties of my email address and
removed that so-called space, but still nothing. i cannot figure out how
it can just happen all of a sudden? and this happens to all my emails
not just one.

To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you quote all of the previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection and it may be causing the problem.

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email

ok, well here are the specs. the computer came with a free trial of
McAfee, i deleted that and installed Nortans 360. i have been used
Nortons since 1996. i have had the windows security alerts off now for
about a year. i have been looking for about 3 hours now and have not
found a way to turn off the email scanning.
