Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

We can't help you without more information.
Who provides your email account?
If you've tried to set up Windows Mail, do you get an error message?
If so, right-click on it, select Copy, then paste it into a reply here.

. . . . can you copy and paste it in here so someone can help ????

Wrong port number. It should be 465.

Unless you tell us exactly what the error message says, we can't
help you. That's not the complete error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

If you prefer using Hotmail via your web browser, apply this fix:
This fix will make Hotmail your default email service:

When does your Yahoo Plus subscription expire?

Your settings are wrong (port number, SSL). Use these directions:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

I'm assuming that you have Yahoo's premium "Mail Plus" service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/overview/index.html

Copy and paste the entire error message and tell us who your email provider
is (the part after the @ symbol) and maybe someone here can help. There are
many "SMTP" errors - we need more specifics . . . . .

HI Gary, Error message is as follows:

"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'charl...@wletc.om'. Subject 're: several
possibilities', Account: 'mail.wletc.com', Server: 'smtp.wletc.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '511 sorry, can't find a valid MX for rcpt
domain (#5.1.1 - chkuser)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 511,
Error Number: 0x800CCC79

According to the error posted below, you have the email address entered
incorrectly as "@wletc.om". Look at the message, specifically the email
address for charliegirl . . . You are missing a "c" in the address -- .com).
(The server info given shows it should be "wletc.com'.)
