I've just done a clean reinstall of a three-year-old copy of Vista Home Basic and I'm having problems getting service packs one and two installed. I've gotten a bunch of updates from Microsoft, but what I'd like to do is uninstall them and replace them with service packs one and two. How do I do that and where can I get the service packs? Thanks much.

Well unless you installed the correct drivers from your hardware
manufacturers you may not be able to install sp's.
And why would you want to uninstall updates to then reinstall sp's?

And if what you are really asking is to how to create a slipstreamed
installation disk of Vista containing the latest sp then that depends
whether you have a retail version or only a restore version
