I've been using terminal server for close to 3 months now.
All of a sudden two out of 30 users are getting the
message" The terminal services temporary client licence
will expire in 15 days" when they login. I've already
activated and registered the server. I'm running windows
2003 any help would be appreciated..
Thanks
John
1) the TS cannot locate the LS. If that's the problem, hardcode
the address of the LS into the registry of the TS:

Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=279561
2) the licensing mode of your TS does not match the type of TS
CALs that you have installed on the LS. If you have installed "Per
User" TS CALs, then the Terminal Server (not the Licensing
Server!) must also be set to use "Per User" licensing. The default
is "Per Device"!
You can check this from Administrative Tools - Terminal Services
Configuration - Server Settings
If it's set to Per Device mode, it will look for a Device TS CAL
and will not issue your Per User TS CALs.
Check this article as well, it explains that even after you have
switched licensing mode on the TS, your User CALs count will not
be decremented:

2003

Thanks for the help, my ts config was set to per device
instead of per user.
