Are you talking about on the Internet Explorer toolbar? If so, look for a
>> indicator, which you can click to expand the icons. Is your toolbar
locked or unlocked?

no, this is, not on the Explorer toolbar, Quick keys is supposedly one of
the new features of the TIP-when you start to write an url in the address
area of IE the TIP expands out and show various different. buttons:
http:\\, .com, and several others.

Oh, okay. No, they should be showing at any time you have the cursor in (1)
the address line (URL) in Internet Explorer or (2) the address line for an
email when you're using Word 2003 as your email editor in conjunction with
Outlook 2003. The TIP senses the cursor location because of the "hook"
provided by the various programs, and reacts by giving the user the
different buttons. Works that way for me on a couple Tablets here, either
Landscape or Portrait.

I'm not sure I understand what your issue is, since you're saying you're not
in Internet Explorer. Where are you then? The .com/http:/etc. buttons only
show at certain times, as triggered by the cursor location - like in the
address location of Internet Explorer. Otherwise, you won't see those
buttons at all - whether you're in Landscape or Portrait orientation.

I'll send a query to Microsoft, Sergio. I have all the quick buttons
(http://, .com, etc.) in any orientation, whether in Dock or Undock mode.
I'll post back when I hear something.

How about this, Sergio: Are you running the default setting of 96 DPI in
the Advanced settings on the General tab for your Display? You can check
this by right-clicking a blank spot on the desktop, selecting Properties and
then going to the Settings tab. In the lower-right, you'll see the Advanced
button. Tap that button and on the General tab look in the DPI setting:
slot. If it is higher than the default, the Tablet Input Panel will become
limited where which buttons will be shown.

Also, are you running the Speech Pad enabled? This will result in the same
as I described above.

Well that explains why I don't always have it since I use large fonts on my
Toshiba. Kind of silly since I still have plenty of room with the higher
screen resolution.

That's the sort of drawback that makes using anything other than defaults
less than optimal.
