XP SP3 not getting Windows Updates

XPSP3 installed.

My IE 6 fails and could not go to Windows Update.

Did some troubleshooting (re-install IE6), and a yellow icon of Windows
update appear and stops at 33%.

How do i STOP windows update ?

I was thinking of reverting back to SP2
