WSUS 2.0 Hotfix KB 953761

However we are running an adjusted DNS and DHCP which with service pack 3
installed causes most machines to not register and therefore not be able to
access the internet. There is a hotfix for this released by microsoft
KB953716. My question is, 1. is there a way to import Hotfixes to WSUS 2.0 or
do you ahve to be running 3.0. 2. Is there a way to prevent the machine from
restarting once SP3 has been installed and for the machine to install the
hotfix and then restart, seeing as how the install of the hotfix requires a
restart as well? Nay and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Only with WSUS 3

Since the hotfix cannot be imported to WSUS 2 the above is not relevant. But
there are quite a few updates to be installed after XP SP3 in any case not just
one. For me it is about 20 at the moment.
