I am getting this error quite often -- 0x8024004D. I use a lot of sysprepped
virtual servers for testing. After a couple of days of just sitting there
(seemingly), it clears up. I can, however, manually update them on the
windows Updates site, but it does not appear to have any impact other than
patching them while they just sit on the network.
