Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand that your Windows XP Home clients cannot send fax. If I have
misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
Please understand that SBS 2003 Shared Fax requires the client workstations
to join in domain. However, Windows XP Home Edition cannot join in SBS 2K3
domain so your client cannot use the Shared Fax service to send faxes.
We suggest customers that use Windows 2000 or upgrade to Windows XP
Professional so clients can send fax through the SBS 2003 Shared Fax
service.

Hope this information helps. If anything is unclear, please feel free to
let me know. I am glad to be of assistance!

Thank you for posting back!
Please understand that Windows XP Home clients might be able to send faxes
by manually typing user name and passwords. However, Windows XP Home
edition is not officially supported in Windows 2003 (which includes SBS
2K3) environment.
SBS 2003 Shared Fax requires the workstations to join in the domain. As
Windows XP Home Edition cannot join in a domain you should not be able to
use the Shared Fax service to send faxes. If you setup a Windows XP Home
Edition client, installed the Fax Service from Add/Remove Windows
Components, browsed to my SBS 2003 server using \\Server_Name, input a
valid domain account and its password, double click on the shared fax
device (named "Fax") to install the fax printer, went to Printers and
Faxes, double clicked on the "Fax on Server_Name" icon and on the Fax
Console, you will get the following error "All fax printers are
inaccessible". If you then double click on the error message, you will get
the dialog box showing ''Fax Printer Connection error''.
We still suggest that use Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro to send fax
through the SBS 2003 Shared Fax service.
I am appreciated your time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please
feel free to let me know. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for posting back!
Please understand that we do not support Windows XP Home Edition in SBS 2K3
Network. As this issue occurs on two specific client workstations, you may
post this issue to the Windows XP Newsgroup
(microsoft.private.directaccess.WindowsXP) and that newsgroup will help on
Windows XP client workstation issue. Thanks for your understanding.
Thanks a lot for your understanding!
