Hello everyone:

I recently installed a server in my office with Win2003 SBS. All PCs
look working fine and without problems except one that came with
Windows Vista Business preinstalled. The only problem is that working
in the domain user account becomes sooooooooo slow. Every account
login becomes 2 or 3 minutes still Windows Vista Desktop loads.
Exploring shared folders in server is also abnormal slow. About 10-15
seconds everytime you click on a folder to view its content.

Everything is configured in the same way of the other machines
(Windows XP systems).

Which could be the problem?

Many Thanks,

Have you tried disabling "autotuninglevel" and "rss" on the Vista machine?

I tried to use the command:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled

And I receive the next error (I'm spanish so the message is in
spanish):
"Error del comando para establecer global en IPv4 La operación
solicitada requiere elevación."

And translated may be something like "Command error on stablish global
on IPv4. This operation requires elevation." What does it mean? What
could I do?

Thanks,

I believe Vista is telling you that you need to run the command with
elevated permissions:

1. Click on Vista Start button.
2. In the Start Search box, type in "Cmd" (without quotes).
3. Right click on the Command Prompt in the search result listing.
4. In the right click menu, click on "Run as Administrator" menu item.
5. Type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled" without the
quotation marks

Ok, I get it. After executing the command it seems Vista works faster
than before, as the rest of the computers.

Thanks everyone for your support.
