Only with this computer and only when we try to edit our fax inbox, I put
this user with administrator permissions and nothing, any ideas?
Thanks for your post.
Have you checked if there is a "3082" folder and "ows.js" file exist under companyweb/_layouts/ folder? You may check if via IIS console on the SBS server. Explorer to
Companyweb -> _layouts and check they are there.
If the files are there, them please try to apply the latest Windows Script 5.7 to see if it changes.

Thanks for your update.
Sorry, I forgot that problematic client has Windows 7, so please skip the "Windows Script 5.7 for Windows XP" steps. Instead, since the "ows.js" file does exist, then this error
message usually occurs if one or more if the following conditions are true:
" A datasheet component that is compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed.
" A Microsoft Office 2003 Professional edition is not installed on the computer.
" The Web browser does not support ActiveX controls.
" Support for ActiveX controls is disabled.
So my suggestions are:
1. Please check and make sure Microsoft Office 2003(or above version) Professional editions is installed;
2. Please first reset IE settings and then make sure make sure IE is the default web browser.
If the issue still occurs, try the below steps:
1. Make a backup copy of ows.js in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Serve Extensions\60\Template\Layouts\LCID
(where LCID is the Language Code Id for your affected installation, English would be 1033, yours should be "3028").
2. Open OWS.JS and add the following function after the 'PortalPinToMyPage' function:
function RenderActiveX(str)
{
document.write(str);
}
3. Reset IIS on the server.
4. Close IE and delete all temporary internet files on the client machine. Then test if the issue persists.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Thank you for writing back to me.
Just for clarify that are these clients which are working fine also Windows 7 too, or only this Windows 7 client machine doesn't work?
Moreover, please logon with another domain user account and see if the issue persists with other user account. Meanwhile, please check the Event log to see if we can get more clues there.
If this issue only occurs to Windows 7 client machine tested with all users, currently I have no solid solution because we don't have encounter similar issues on Windows 7 based on customers and our
engineers feedback. I will report this issue to our related team for a fix in later update/hotfix.
Thanks for your time and efforts.

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Since the Comanyweb works fine from the server side and others client computers work normally from client side, this is not a Sharepoint or SBS server/client issue, but a
particularly Windows 7 IE or Office component issue.
As I indicated before, this issue may occur if a datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed or your browser does not support Active
X controls or support for ActiveX controls is disabled. As far as I know from my standpoint, the following work round may help.
Install the latest Office 2007 Service Pack on the problematic Windows 7 client:
The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=b444bf18-79ea-46c6-8a81-9db49b4ab6e5
this issue also might occur if an ActiveX that is disabled in IE due to a registry change on the specific CLSID for the STSLIST.DLL component.
You need to check and if any, delete the registry entry and retest the issue:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{65bcbee4-7728-41a0-97be-14e1cae36aae} to enable IE to load the proper Add-
on.
Note, please backup/export the keys/subkeys before you delete anything in Registy.
However, if the issue still occurs, I recommend you turn to Windows 7 TechNet forum to get more support information as this should be a general Windows 7 issue instead of
SBS server/client issue. Thanks for your understanding.
