No need at all. You're most understandable.
...and please excuse my being unable to speak any language other
than English

If you are using SBS 2000 then no- You cannot.
If you are using SBS 2003 then yes you can
- Provided that::
- If users are authenticating to the SBS Server each
user/device has a valid SBS CAL
- You are not using some form of multiplexing to
pass through a single authentication for multiple users.
i.e. You need to authenticate your users ( if they require
authentication ) in your ASP code, not via windows authentication.

Marco,

Keep in mind that the SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition only comes in SBS
2003 Premium Edition and it can only be installed on the SBS server itself.

Q. What are the major differences between the standard edition and
premium edition of Windows® Small Business Server 2003?

A. . The standard edition of Windows Small Business Server 2003
includes Windows ServerT 2003 technologies, including fax service, firewall
service, and remote-access service. Additionally, it includes Microsoft
Exchange Server 2003, enhanced tools for server monitoring and
administration, and an out-of-the-box solution for internal Web sites. The
standard edition is ideal for customers who do not require the higher-level
functionality included in the premium edition.

. The premium edition includes everything in the standard
edition, plus Microsoft SQL ServerT 2000, Microsoft Internet Security and
Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, and Microsoft FrontPage® 2003. The premium
edition is ideal for small businesses with more demanding IT needs, such as
data-intensive line-of-business applications, or advanced firewall and
Web-caching capabilities.

Q. Can I use the SQL Server component for Web-based business
applications?

A. Yes, new with Windows Small Business Server 2003 is the ability for
you to use the SQL Server component for an unlimited number of
un-authenticated users. As long as you are un-authenticated, you also do not
need a Windows Small Business Server 2003 CAL.
