Hello folks

I've just been given the happy news that my company is getting a new
employee... who is getting a MAC desktop... who's supposed to access
our Windows Server 2003 ative directory!

Both I and my IT colegues have ZERO Mac skillz. The last time I used a
Mac was back in 1991, as a user. So we have no idea f this is even
possible.

we'd like to know if connecting a Mac to to a Windows active directory
network is possble and, if so, if there's any online tutorial/manual
we can follow?

Cheers and Merry Xmas.

There are quite a few sites on this. Basically you want to use the AD
utility in an OSx. Here are some links on it. Also, I see you've also posted
this to the networking newsgroup. I would suggest for the future to use
cross-posting instead of multi-posting. Cross-posting allows you to send it
to multiple groups simulataneously, and any responses to any of the groups,
populate all groups it was cross-posted to. In your case, you now have to
check each one individually. Another drawback is that it doesn't allow us to
collaborate to assist you better, for there may be one response at another
thread that others here will not see, as well as double our efforts to
assist you.

I cross-posted my response to both the
microsoft.public.windows.server.general and
microsoft.public.windows.server.networking groups. It may populate your
other thread, but I am not sure.

Did you post this any other group?
