Hi everybody!
I have created a non-AD-integrated DNS-Zone with a subdomain. The
subdomain has no resource-records yet, so it is still empty. My question
is: where is that subdomain saved? It is not in the text file for that
zone and I wasn't able to find it in the registry...

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Jose

Hi Jose!

The DNS zonefiles are all stored in the folder "C:\Windows\System32\dns\".
If you got a "domain.test" zone there is a file named "domain.test.dns". For
the subdomain named "sub.domain.test" there would be another file named
"sub.domain.test.dns" in the some folder.

Cheers!
Jens
