Hi everyone,

I'm trying to setup a simple NLB configuration with two servers running
W2003 SP1. With Windows Firewall off, the NLB config works fine. With
Windows Firewall on, neither server can contact the other server.

I would think this would be a common issue, but I don't see it in the MS KB,
or in the forums. So how do I configure Windows Firewall to allow the NLB
config to function properly?

Open up the ports that you are NLBing (your port rules in NLB). Remote admin
ports UDP 1717 & 2504 (turned off by default).

Cheers,

Rod
