Can anyone give me some suggestions for pc auditing software that I can run
from my login script? I'm looking for simple CPU, OS, RAM info.

Thanks

Is it sufficient to run a script to get that info? If so, check out WMI
scripting and the downloadable tools at TechNet Script Center:

You need to inventory installed hardware or collect perfomance information? For inventoring hardware, you can use WMI scripts - they are free, simple, efficient, and Scripting Guys at Technet have a lot of examples.

I use Alloy Software Network Inventory (www.alloy-software.com)

They do a free version if you have 25 clients of less and reasonable prices
on other versions.

i have been gone through this tool & it seems a great tool for auditing there are so many filters so can you get the appropriate result via various format like
pdf, html, csv. n more
the tool sends automated reports highlight all changes and access attempts to files, folders, shares and permissions, and tells us who made each change, when in your AD environment
It also provide the current system health as well

check out the product from here
