I have a 2008 core domain controller and it is rebooting unexpectedly,
randomly, throughout the day.

I would like to clean boot the system and disable all 3rd party
applications. I normally do this with msconfig:

a. Click Start, type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then
press ENTER.

b. On the General tab, click Selective startup.

c. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the Load startup items
check box.

d. Click the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft
services check box, and then click Disable all.

In Server Core I am not sure how to do this. How would I do this in
Core?

Thanks in advance.

I guess you'll probably have to do all those things manually by
connecting from a remote server via services.msc and specifying the core
server as the target. One thing I'd try is turn off automatic rebooting
to see the bug check information (blue screen). That contains
information on why it crashed.

Cheers,
