I'm trying to use Amazon as a resource, but thought there may be a PowerShell
specific website or FAQ somewhere that keeps up with these new PowerShell books
(especially V2 ones).

I had hoped that Bruce Payette's V2 book would be out by now, but I've learned
it is now delayed until Summer.

Maybe I should have asked it this way:

"Which new PowerShell book has proven to be valuable?"

Most recent... Yes, I agree with Karl about using Amazon, and sorting by
the published date and looking at the comments.

As for the most useful, it depends on where you're coming from, and where
you want to go...

I'm planning a brief blog post on "PowerShell books expected in 2010"
soon/this week.

Thanks for that list. Sometimes the titles give a hint as to what version of
PowerShell they follow.

Do you have a PowerShell book you have found especially valuable?

I would think that everyone finds Bruce Payette's "PowerShell in Action" a
valuable resource.

I will try to do a better job on this.

I haven't blogged this yet. For 2010:
-MSPress PowerShell 2.0 Best Practices by Ed Wilson - Out now (December
2009)
-Sapien PowerShell 2.0:TFM by Jeffery Hicks/Don Jones - Out now (ebook
only?)
-Manning PowerShell in Practice by Richard Siddaway - 2nd quarter 2010
-Manning PowerShell in Action by Bruce Payette - 2nd or 3rd quarter 2010
-O'Reilly PowerShell 2.0 Cookbook (unofficial title) by Lee Holmes - 3rd/4th
quarter 2010

On the latter... The author isn't willing to provide any estimates, so I'm
guessing on that one...

I'm not aware of any other projects...

The publisher tells me that there was a delay, but the book will be
shipping hopefully around the end of this month. As noted earlier, you
can grab it in ebook form right now.

My personal book recommendations are:

- PowerShell in Action (get it used if you need it now, otherwise wait
for v2)
- PowerShell TFM (2nd ed. covering PowerShell v1 is FREE on Sapien's
site!)
- Lee Holmes PowerShell Cookbook

And I have only read snippets, but Richard's book looks like it will
be good stuff.

Also, if you pre-order the V2 "PowerShell in Action" book from Manning's MEAP
website you get to download the PDF version of the current edition right away.
