It'd be great to just have PowerShell installed
for all the computers that I would have to install unattended ;)
lists a number of switches including
/quiet
/passive
/norestart
It has been stated that PowerShell is a Windows update and it appears in the
list of updates in Add\Remove Programs so it would be a fair assumption that
it can be installed int that way

Ok, now those are the ones of my interests ;)

Ah, even better!
Now i was in front of my computer banging my head against a wall
thinking if i had to install powershell for each computer(50+)
Thanks for the help there Rich.
Took me a while just to test this out.
Having a powershell on a newly installed Windows XP is quite great!
Still I consider it a bug that if you're doing an unattended
installation then the installer doesn't complain about the missing .net
runtime

Regards, Thomas
well that seems about right but a lot of times, very silent
installations usually don't display error messages.
For e.g.),
I am not sure why but it doesn't seem to be possible to install Access
Viewer in a silent mode.
Access Viewer installer(after extracting the content) has an option for
a silent installtion "setup.exe /qt" which will suppress error
messages, as well.
In that perspective, it seems consistent although I do not like the
fact that i cannot see what went wrong.
ah, i didn't even get to bother to check out if there is even a log
file... or check eventlogs...
