We're having an argument at work, me against the manager.

He wants me to use a Dell D620 with 1 GB of RAM and a 30 GB HD for Wise
Package Studio Professional and VMWare with 32-bit XP and McAfee Enterprise
loaded locally with a network connection (100 MB) to a SQL server where he
wants to put VMWare 5.

I want to use a Dell D820 T7600 Duo with 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of ReadyBoost and
Vista 64-bit running on a 100 GB SATA HD with Wise Package Studio
Professional and VMWare 6 with a stripe volume of two 320GB 7200 RPM
Firewire drives for the VMWare clients and an external eSATA drive for
storing packages. No AV but two firewalls back-to-back in a screened subnet.

Opinions/comments...?

Thank you for your input.

Peter
