MCE won't burn DVD from recorded TV

Using MCE 2005 on XP (SP 3). Always used to be able to burn DVDs from recorded TV via InterVideo WinDVD. But that stopped working. So I tried the "Create CD/DVD" program in MCE. About 30% of the way into the burn I get an error message, "Create Failure. An error has occured in creating the CD/DVD", and the DVD ejects and the burn process ends.... more »

I have a desktup running 2 screens. My main runs at 1650x1080 and the second is 1280x1024. I always run my media center in a window streched to the max size on the second screen. The problem is that I can't get it to go to 4:3 in windows 7. In Vista I was able to do this by dragging the media center so it was overlapping both... more »

My wireless adapter wsn't being recognized so I thoought I would do a system restore. it did not ask me to set a restore point. it seems to have gone back to the original date ( jan, 1 2005). 7MC Movie Folder Display

Back in the a kept my movies in neat little folders under the 'Video' group. I could click on video and see my shares, click on a share and see some movies and some folders, and dig through the file structure. Now. . . 7MC offers me a 'Movie' group and I moved my movies there, but now my file structure disolved and I lost the ability to sort on file date.... more »

After updating xp media center with fixes from microsoft on my dell xpz 400 my pc boots to a blue screen with error message c0000218 ( registry file failure ) Can some one help me revover from this, The OS came preloaded and I have no XP Media Center discs at all. Thanks,

ok, so I just bought 'this tuner' ([link]) and I'm having problems getting it to work. So, heres my setup. Cable (direct tv) running in from the wall, going to the cable box. Then S-video and white/red composite running to the USB tuner. USB tuner plugged into the PC. simple setup.... more »

I have a website I need to use that is not compatible with IE8. IE8 installed with an update, and would not uninstall. It was not listed in the add/remove programs, nor was there an IE8 folder on the system. We did a repair install of Media Center (sp2) and can get back online.
