I have a desktup running 2 screens. My main runs at 1650x1080 and the second is 1280x1024. I always run my media center in a window streched to the max size on the second screen. My wireless adapter wsn't being recognized so I thoought I would do a system restore. it did not ask me to set a restore point. it seems to have gone back to the original date ( jan, 1 2005). Back in the a kept my movies in neat little folders under the 'Video' group. I could click on video and see my shares, click on a share and see some movies and some folders, and dig through the file structure. Now. . . 7MC offers me a 'Movie' group and I moved my movies there, but now my file structure disolved and I lost the ability to sort on file date.... more »

After updating xp media center with fixes from microsoft on my dell xpz 400 my pc boots to a blue screen with error message c0000218 ( registry file failure ) Can some one help me revover from this, The OS came preloaded and I have no XP Media Center discs at all. Thanks,

I have a website I need to use that is not compatible with IE8. IE8 installed with an update, and would not uninstall. It was not listed in the add/remove programs, nor was there an IE8 folder on the system. We did a repair install of Media Center (sp2) and can get back online.
