I just got my computer back from having a virus removed. Now I cannot get
all the speakers to work (I have a 5.1 system); only two speakers work. I've
checked the connections several times and everything is how it was before.
Am I missing something simple?

Are you sure the specific drivers are loaded for the sound card in your
system? If you just have the generic drivers, you might only be getting
standard stereo.
Look through the original CD's from your system and see if you need to load
some additional drivers/applications.
