I understand that MCE is very similar to Pro but with a few add ons and
without the domain capeablility, What would the reason for the
incompatibility with Protools software? Would disabling all media center
components fix this? If so how how would i do that? I know a bunch of
people who are curious for a definatative answer and when contacting Digisign
were told Media Center Edition specifically isn't compatible. Maybe
Microsoft could come out with a special patch to address the incompatibility.
Can you purchase an upgrade from Microsoft (at a discount) to get the real
XP Pro?
Thanks.

I neveruse the media center features anyway but i don't want to spend a few
hundred on getting xp pro since i need that money towards the recording
interface, software, cables, etc.
Anyone else have any insight into this issue?
