Hi There,

I've just bought an HP MCE.

While waiting for it to arrive i spent weeks going through my CD collection
of over 500 CD's and converted them in to MP3's in preperation.

I transferred them in to a directory called MP3 which is laid out as follows
;

MP3
ARTIST
ALBUM

What i want to know is, can i get the Art work for these online? Is there a
way for MCE to collect the artwork automatically or do i have to scan all my
covers in manually?

The reason i ask is that all the albums currently have a blue speaker
instead of the artwork.

Many Thanks

Mark

To the best of my knowledge Windows Media Player 9 will
automatically update your album cover for commercial CDs
when you burn them. Not sure about earlier versions.

If you have WMP9 and it's not collecting the album covers
it's probably a settings issue on the software and you
should be able to turn it on.

You can always go to All Music Guide on the internet,
search for your album, right click on an album cover, save
as a file titled folder.jpg in the album folder that Media
Player created. This would probably be easier than
scanning in all your album covers.

In WMP9, if you choose the album then right click and select "Update album
info from the internet" (or something similar) it will download your album
covers.

Worked for me.
