Transferring OE6 -- Including Newsgroups

I use two computers (home and road) and MS-XP with OE6 on both. I transfer the message store folder "Outlook Express" from one to the other as needed. Everything transfers between the two computers just fine except the newsgroups. There are .dbx files for them in the transferred folder, but OE doesn't see them.... more »

Spelling Checker Problem

Hi: My spelling checker in msn does not work any more, When I go to Select spelling checker settings and select a spelling dictionary only French dictionaries are available not English which is what I want. I have Microsoft Word on my computer and the spell cheker there wirks fine.( in English, of course)... more »

Font Default in OE6

I am using Rich Text (HTML) with Outlook Express 6.00 for sending e-mail. Arial 10 pt comes up as a default. How do I change the default font size? Hope someone can help. Best regards, Anders

Got message "do you want to compact files". I hit yes, it started, then froze. File folder's are still intact, but most emails are no longer saved. Any idea how to retrieve?

Periodic failure of OE6 to function

A recurring problem I'm having is the failutre of OE6 to open and display e-mail messages online. I'm using and HP MCE 2005 (with Rollup 2), IE7, a wireless router and Cable modem service and ATT Yahoo (prodigy) ISP. I'm trying to make an e-mail address plain text. Underline is NOT checked. I have selected the text, checked and unchecked it a dozen times. I've clicked on Format>Plain Text and back to Rich Text. Then back to Plain Text. Then back to Rich Text. Then changed the font, then changed it back. Then selected... more »
