I know I've read the answer to this question before........
Why do some emails have boxes with the little red X in them where an image
should be showing. Sometimes they are in an attachment, other times not.
Is there a way to see these images within the message?

Clear the Temporary Internet Files folder
Make sure that images are turned on (Tools | Options | Security tab | Block
images...)

It is often because the sender does not have their email program configured
properly and the picture is not actually sent. While viewing the message
press Ctrl-F3 to view the source and scroll down. If the image was actually
sent you will be able to see in the message that there is an attachment and
the attachment's name. You won't be able to actually see the attachment
because you're looking at the code.
