Winxp(home), zone alarm, AVG AV, wireless card. Here's the situation. Replaced HD and have reloaded most programs we need.want. When I open IE 7.x the first screen of any site opens up fast. Iexplorer 8 won't open

Did a clean install of Windows XP Professional. Updated it with all the service packs and Microsoft has been sending down a steady stream of updates; one of which was Iexplorer 8. It won't open. HTML file reads <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> and saved in Motepad as UTF-8 Yet IE6 shows Cyrilics as gobbledagoock unless in the browser in View-->Encoding I manually set encoding to Unicode UTF-8 I thought that enciding specified in matatags should override browser... more »

I am using XP and IE8 with no problems for months. Now suddenly when I try to log on Google.groups I get the following message. (your browser's cookie functionality is turned off.) They then suggest clearing cookies. I rechecked my cookie settings which are still set to accept first party, prompt for third party, always allow session cookies. cleared and reset.... more »

Hi, My IE worked fine earlier. but today when I accessed my Gmail account, i could not read the contents of my email at the right side.
