No idea without more information from you. What version of OE are you running and on what operating system? Try posting your question directly to this newsgroup, by clicking the link below, rather than posting to CNet which does not provide answers to your questions but only forwards them to newsgroups they think appropriate:

Well, first you post a question about your problem with as many details as you believe pertinent to an appropriate newsgroup. If you have a question about Outlook Express then the following link would be appropriate. You should be aware that CNet does not answer questions but through some clever bots, they merely forward your message to what they think is an appropriate newsgroup where it may or may not be answered. Click on the link below for direct access to the Outlook Express newsgroup on a Microsoft news server:

Tom's site is excellent.

Thank you very much to Tom, Frank, and the other MVP's IE/OE. You truly are
MVP's!

I am working in a temporary systems librarian position where I have become
the defacto network and email administrator, with little experience in this
area other than a pretty good knowledge of computers and directory/file
structures.

The library uses OE4 and 5. Several people have had problems and by
browsing this newsgroup and reading KB articles at the Microsoft site, I
have been able to solve many of them.

This morning I discovered Tom's excellent web site, and I think I will now
be able to solve the remaining problems.

Thanks to all.

One remaining issue: two of the people who have had problems ended up with
3 different sets of in/out etc., boxes. This happened partly for unknown
reasons and partly from my experiementing. They share a computer and use
different profiles.

I have safely changed their store folder to the original one, imported, and
got back the majority of their mail (after learning about Folders.nch from
the newsgroup). Now I am not sure whether I can import from the other two
store folders (all folder names are the same, but one set is from OE4 (ibx,
mbx files), the other OE5. Will each import over-write what is already in
their current Inbox (and other boxes) or will it add the messages?

The other idea I had was to use the Find feature to show them what is in
these other inboxes, then have them forward the messages they want to keep
to me. I would forward them back and hope they end up in the right Inbox!

OE4 cannot import from OE5 unless OE/OE5 has been installed and removed.
OE5 can import from either. In fact, it usually picks up the OE4 messages
when installed over OE4.
