Life's Plan
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a smallopening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for
several hours as it struggled to force it's body through that tiny hole.
Then it seemed to stop making progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no
further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and
snipped off the remaining bit of cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But, it had a swollen body and small,
shriveled wings.
The man watched the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the
wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would
contract in time.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the
restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get
through the tiny opening was life's way of forcing fluid from the body of
the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it
had achieved it's freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If we were
allowed to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
We would never fly.
I asked for strength...
I got difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom ...
I was given problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity ...
ans was given Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage ...
and was given Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love ...
and was given troubled people to help.
I asked for favors ...
and was given Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted.
I received everything I needed !
I had always asked "Why Me?" when I thought of the abuse my young self had
gone through.
I too had gone into a cocoon
One born of fear and depression
I too had to struggle to get free.
I looked for any sane or good thing that might have come from surviving such
horrors.
Then I read the story above and I look at a painting I had recently painted
and I saw the truth was all around me, it filled my life.
I now have my wings.
The wings are strong and sheltering.
I have my joy, peace and love.
I have wisdom, prosperity and courage.
I found my wings.
I fly.
Use your obstacles as stepping stones
Climb out of despair
Use your struggles and pain to grow your wings.
Fly
