  Describe the intended behavior a little more... &lt;br&gt; Would you want the menu item just before the one that&#39;s currently active to be selected? There are some boundary conditions that may get you around to what you&#39;re after. For example: unselect the sender, select the menu just at IndexOfSender - 1, then hide your sender.

  I found my problem :). &lt;br&gt; The problem was that I was actually removing the style from the &lt;br&gt; resource dictionnary if the style was defined in a parent element &lt;br&gt; dictionnary which was bad since then every item generated did not get &lt;br&gt; the style. &lt;br&gt; I&#39;m still doing that if the style is defined in the element resource
