Hello everyone,
I am really frustrated with this issue that I am having. We recently
purchased Visual Studio 2008 and I will be the one doing changes and
modifications to an existing VB project. I am able to build and run the
project outside of my IDE (Control-F5), however, if I start the debugger, I
get the following error:

AppName: devenv.exe AppVer: 9.0.21022.8 AppStamp:47317b3d
ModName: diasymreader.dll ModVer: 8.0.50727.3053 ModStamp:4889f0c2
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00024617

I have searched countless forums with no luck. I have tried re-installing
VS 2008 and still the problem persists. I have applied every update
available. I have installed VS Studio 2008 on two other computers and I get
the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did run adplus t oget some dump files if someone needs to see some dump
files.

Hello.

This newsgroup supports the Debugging Tools for Windows package. I think
you want microsoft.public.vstudio.general.

Hi!

This is a longshot, but I recently had the same problem. Crash on debug. In
my case it was the symbols window that caused the crash. Closing this before
debugging solved my issue. You probably don't have the same issue, but it's
worth mentioning.
