Subject: Where Do "Replaced Contents" Go?
I made a mistake this morning and want to know if my file is now gone
forever or if it can be retrieved. Using Windows Explorer I copied a file
and pasted it into an existing file. Without giving it sufficient thought, I
replaced the existing contents and it seems that the original contents of
the "existing file" have disappeared. When I realized my mistake I clicked
on "Undo" but it only wanted to know if I wanted to delete the file.

Is this file or its contents recoverable?

Hi Michael,

Try downloading one among numerous "undelete" utilities and have a try.

Regards,
Babu.
